The Rolling Stone

So normally a year begins in January for all normal people, but normal is overrated and rarely if anything is ever normal in real life, therefore my year is beginning this month. No there is no specific day just sometime this month. As of present there is no ebb or flow, no routine, no real consistency of any kind to my life, it's more like a suspended state of one really long moment and so far nothing too interesting. Yeah, yeah it's my fault, but trust me I'm definitely trying to put a little punch into my juice, a little mystery a little jazz. It's funny because I am the biggest believer in personal change if you really want it but it seems to me, in my case, that sometimes the question isn't if you want to change, but what it is you want to change into. Plans and dreams are all very nice, but it's kind of a nauseating experience if they change every five minutes and it feels like they are pulling you in all directions. Basically all this tells me is that I don't know what I want, which is wonderful! Not. Le sigh to be young I guess... I am trying though, as I said, I don't mean to sound like a sad sack, though this entry isn't really proving that point, but I guess all transitions take time. How do you find what you really want to do with your life? Do you looking for it? If this is a treasure hunt where the fug are my clues? Do you accidently stumble upon it like finding a lucky penny? If I look around and follow the Machiavellian inductive reasoning model it's like looking into a pastry shop and saying I think I'll buy that just because you like what it looks like without knowing what ingredients were used to make it. I wish I could just be a rolling stone, that'd be nice.

Cookies for Santa

Fellow blogger and friend, Steele came to my house a few days ago and after a day of running around and hanging out we headed to my house and made some cookies. Here's some pictorial evidence. The cookies were made with the intent to be eaten but in the end I decided that I should leave them for Santee Klaus :3

I think what made this day memorable was how difficult it turned out to be to find cookie cutters :/ we had to drive around for a bit to find them, but as one can see we eventually did. The day did end on a bittersweet note because my friend is traveling to see family out of state and unfortunately our holiday schedules don't coordinate for us to really see each other again until next year's spring... we'll see how things go. Happy Holidays Steele, I hope you're having a grand time with the family!

Blog Holiday Face Lift :3

The holidays are approaching and I felt like changing the blog up a bit for it so I've added a new background and I'm messing with the HTML as I speak :) I really hope I don't muck it up and I hope it looks festive!!! I'm still a slow blogger but maybe this will kick me into gear of posting all of the holiday posts I've been meaning to put up here, we'll see...

Finito with Finals

In order to celebrate the glorious occasion of exams being over and the holidays being so close my roommates and I had a little shin-dig.

One of my roommates really got into the spirit and dressed as an elf

It was a lot of fun and a great way to release some stress from all the exams and papers.
Overall I just wanted to say
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

The Sound of the Rancheras

Every so often my family goes back to very "hispanic" places around LA, the Swapmeet is definitely one of them. It's nice to go back to such places because I feel that they are very different from my everyday life, but still part of my culture. Of course they can also feel a bit overcrowded if not by the amount of people, by the merchandise placed in every corner of every inch possible.

There was an A on that store/stand/merchandise cave, but I'm not sure what kind of food product anyone would buy there.
The above picture looks like a page from one of my favorite books as a child, I Spy.
ummm, yeah, about this... it was there I just took the picture, you make up the caption (~.~)

A Slow Start

Glorious summer is among us, and I haven't been here in a while to post... mostly its because I feel like my life has been a bit uneventful of lately, not that I'm complaining, actually this uneventful state in which I currently find myself in has also been one of much relaxation. Also I haven't really been taking too many pictures of the things I do, do. Not to mention that today is actually the first day that actually feels like summer here at home, though my house is located only a few minutes from the beach the past few weeks that I've been here have felt quite drab, the weather had not been showing much of a summer like personality, it even rained a little at one point:/ It was cloudy and grey and windy, anyway Now it's sunny and hot and cloud free and I love it! This is the way it should be and hopefully it will encourage me to go out and do something and have some pictures to post on here. So what have I been doing these past few vacation weeks.... well is it sad to say that I just saw all 7 seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (side-note: Spike is better than Angel) one of Angel and the whole first season of Community? Hehe well I did always want to watch the show BVS and now that I've had time I did, so unless I posted screen caps of the shows you can see why my posts would not be the most engaging.
With that said I hope to venture out from my house in the near future for more post worthy material and until then TTFN
P.S. for those who are text-language retarded like myself TTFN means Ta-ta For Now
